DIGIVAC  Custom Visual Basic ^™ Applications

The DIGIVAC Company has been writing custom applications using Microsoft Visual Basic ^™ for many years.  Our most common application is custom machine monitoring and data logging. Typically, the user will want a PC screen image that resembles his machine, and will want to display its operating parameters. This can easily be done collecting data using a serial port.

It is often desirable to log data to the user's hard drive. We log the data as CSV or comma separated values files, that are easily read with spreadsheet programs, word processors, or our own custom plotting routines.

Our custom plotting routines are written specifically for our customers' needs and have many valuable features such as custom labeling, naming, and even coloring of customers' parameters, auto-logging, and high-resolution plotting at the click of a mouse.

Our design philosophy emphasizes simple, concise,  maintainable code, that runs at high speed and does not strain computer resources unnecessarily.  We can usually ship an application on a single floppy disk, and send an update in a short easily transmitted .exe file. In many cases, we can update an application and send the customer an updated .exe without hanging up the telephone!

We are able to monitor and plot up six separate applications simultaneously using a single PC and Windows 98.  (Our applications are also compatible with Windows NT and computer network drives.)

We can design a custom application that displays and plots multiple instruments from different manufactures on the same screen using the same plotting axes.

SixVacs^TM Technology allows six or more DIGIVAC gauges to log data to a single PC serial port using Hyperterm or other standard software!   Consult DIGIVAC Company for details.
