DIGIVACTM  Model 200

The DIGIVAC Model 200 uses a sophisticated, microprocessor-based circuit to measure from atmosphere to hard vacuum using a rugged,  inexpensive, thermocouple vacuum gauge tube.

Representative readings are as follows:
              Reading torr-equivalent
              (torr or mbar) microns
              760.            760,000
              550.            550,000
              120.            120,000
              99.0             99,000
              12.3             12,300
              10.0             10,000
              9.90              9,900
              1.23              1,230
              .999                999
              .555                555
              .123                123
              .055                 55
              .001                  1

Note: The Digivac Model 100w, preferred by many in the refrigeration industry reads directly in microns.

The Digivac Model 250WT LCD uses a combination thermocouple/transducer sensor.  It combines the range of a thermocouple with the accuracy of a capacitance manometer, far surpassing convection-based wide range gauges, for a price only modestly higher than a thermocouple. It has a character type liquid crystal display.  Its accuracy is better than 1/2 % +/- torr at pressures above 20 torr.

The Digivac Model 252LCD/cm is a reasonably priced Capacitance Diaphram gauge (capacitance manometer). The unit includes the manometer, readout, and power supply and cables for less than competitors' charge for the manometer alone.  It is built in a laboratory- grade metal case, and has an LCD character display, and Rs232 output. Standard (non-heated) manometers in 10 torr, 100 torr, and 1000 torr ranges are stocked for immediate delivery. Instruments with heated manometers are also available, which display the warm-up status of the instrument.

Because they are microprocessor based, they can have sophisticated features, including RS-232 output, control output, and a backlit LCD character display.

They can be adapted to any kind of vacuum transducer including the Edwards AIM series of Ion gauge transmitters.  (The Model 200 is considerably lower in cost!)

Special versions of the Model 200 can use the Granville-Phillips Convectron wide-range gauge tube.

The Model 200 and all other wide-range thermocouple and Piraini gauges rely on convection (a form of thermal conduction) to achieve their wide range with a thermal sensor. As such, they are sensitive to the gas species.  For filling applications, transducer gauges, such as the Model 100(P)/760, are preferred.

For a panel-mounted wide-range instrument in a conventional black plastic case, refer to the Model 100P/200P or the 801w.

The Model 200 is powered by 115 to 230 Volts, AC or 5 volts DC.
