The Model 45 is operated from an Alkaline "D" Cell battery and typically provides 40 + hours of use. Alternatively, a Ray-O-Vac Alkaline "Renewal" batteries (available at Home Depot stores and other sources) may be used.

Because it is battery-operated, the Model 45 is not subject to flashback damage in neon sign processing applications.  It is housed in a handsome plastic case, which provides a comfortable viewing angle. Has a plastic on-off switch.
