Description

This is a UL certified 3.2 CF vacuum oven manufactured by Across International. UL certification is required by many municipalities, and it provides a higher standard of equipment safety and lifespan.

This vacuum drying oven comes standard with a secondary over-temp protection dial, stainless steel tubing, stainless steel vacuum & vent valve, oil-filled vacuum gauge, and two year warranty.

With our new internal shelf heating technology, each shelf in these ovens has its own heater, in-shelf temperature sensor and temperature controller. This 3.2 CF vacuum oven also has excellent thermal-conductive aluminum shelves.

New low proportional controller technologies result in:

  • Excellent uniformity
  • Accurate temperature settings
  • Super-fast heating rates
  • Minimum heat loss
  • and very low power consumption

Every one of our vacuum ovens goes through a 2-time 24-hour vacuum leak test, and is quality controlled in New Jersey or Nevada before leaving our warehouses.

Note: Contact us for accurate lead time and freight shipping cost. Web orders may not calculate correct shipping. Shipping costs will be confirmed after order placement for any items shipping by freight carrier.

Ai 3.2 CF Vacuum Oven Features

  • UL certified
  •  Chamber Size: 18″ x 18″ x 18″ Material: Stainless steel Capacity: 3.2 cubic feet
  • New KF25 inlet filter keeps your oven clean at all times (included with oven purchase)
  • All stainless steel internal tubing provides higher ultimate vacuum, holds vacuum 10 times longer, and require minimum maintenance
  • Oil-filled mechanical vacuum gauge provides more accurate reading, longer gauge life and minimizes shipping damage. Digivac recommends adding either a Bullseye Vacuum Gauge or a vacuum controller like the SNAP for optimal and more uniform vacuum drying between batches. See the benefits of adding vacuum regulation here
  • All stainless steel vacuum and vent valves gives you cleaner connections, more accurate control and longer term durability
  • Includes three aluminum heated shelves with individual in-shelf temperature sensor, temperature controller and heater
  • Dual layer observation window with 5/8″ tempered safety glass
  • 4th generation low proportional gain temperature controllers keep your oven temperature accurate
  • Easy-to-clean stainless steel interior for exceptional durability and easier maintenance
  • A vacuum environment lowers the boiling point (great for processing heat sensitive materials) and reduces drying time for materials like paste or powder which cannot otherwise be easily dried: these applications are ideal for adding a vacuum regulator to your oven
  • Built-in swivel casters with leveling feet
  • Built-in alarm alerts you when the vacuum oven has been shut down by safety circuitry due to out of range temperature
  • For improved temperature tracking, run the auto-tune procedure as outlined in the manual
  • Best choice for the curing and converting of oil extracts. With a deep vacuum level, the vacuum oven can operate at temperatures which allow the degassing/purging process to occur rapidly, thus increasing productivity and decreasing processing time
  • All vacuum ovens are shipped from either New Jersey or Nevada based on availability
  • 2-year warranty and lifetime US-based parts and service support
  • Guaranteed US based phone and email assistance within 30 minutes from our engineers

Manufactured in accordance with

  • UL 61010-1
  • CSA C22.2

DIGIVAC Recommends

Vacuum Pumps: The Agilent IDP7 Dry Scroll Pump (5.4 CFM) or the Edwards nXDS10iC Dry Scroll Pump | 7.5 CFM for Corrosive Environments

Vacuum Control: VPC with VPPM Software for running recipes or RAMP control or the SNAP controller that has onboard recipe control

  • Optimize your process by adding Automated Vacuum Control: Add the SNAP Vacuum Controller to Automate and Optimize your vacuum drying process. Vacuum Controller with onboard ramp rate recipe control. Set up to 8 recipes based on time and pressure setpoints. Treat material in chamber more gently by implementing kinder ramp rate controls which is ideal for freeze drying, vacuum drying or lyophilization applications
  • SNAP with DPCP:  The SNAP millitorr automated vacuum controller provides precise vacuum control and venting in one device from 750 Torr down to 50 millitorr. Easily control your vacuum process and venting with the touch of a button or the twist of a knob with the SNAP (Simple, Nimble, Automatic Process Controller).

Benefits of Vacuum Control on Vacuum Ovens:

Vacuum ovens in general offer a more gentle way to dry things.  Adding vacuum control builds on these vacuum drying advantages by:
  1. Providing precise control to the drying process enabling a more repeatable drying process and drying result
  2. Slowing down the initial pumpdown of a vacuum drying process helps do 2 things: ensures lighter materials are not sucked into the vacuum pump and ensures more delicate materials are not put under undo molecular stress
  3. Enabling the sequential separation of components to be removed while leaving others like in the example of residual solvent evaporation (Different solvents have different boiling points)
Advanced drying techniques typically employ different recipes of both temperature and pressure set points.

VPPM software combined with the Vapor Pressure Controller (VPC) allows you to set up a profile for your vacuum system, determining when it holds pressure or ramps up/down. Additionally, this software allows you to set a timeframe, in seconds, of how long each case occurs.

For multiple vacuum oven control with one vacuum controller consider the Concerto. The Concerto vacuum controller can control up to 4 vacuum ovens with one pump. Need recipe control for one vacuum oven? Choose the SNAP. We would recommend the IDP15 for controlling multiple vacuum ovens with the Concerto.
